I was born in the North East of England and was raised primarily by my mother and grandparents. I joined the RAF at the age of 16 years old and was one of the first women in an all male unit in the RAF. I worked on VIP duties for The Queen's Flight responsible for the air transportation of The Royal Family. I had 6 month tour in the Falkland Islands where I suffered a serious road traffic accident and suffered a fractured spine. My final tour ws in Bruggen in Germany and I left the RAF on marriage to Richie and we have two adult daughters. Richie is still currently serving. I left the RAF and continued on in my HR career working HR Director for Search and Rescue for CHC Helicopters, Global HR Director for Global Energy Group, HR Director Europe for Qatar Airways, Head of HR Naval Ships Programmes for BAE Systems and Head of HR UK and Ireland for Stenaline Ferries. I currently work for the MOD as a HR Business Partner. As well as a HR Professional, I am a fully qualified Psychotherapist and Master NLP Practitioner and Life Coach which I trained in after suffering from two mental health breakdowns as a result of unresolved complex PTSD. Im an experienced veterans charity trustee and have set up Bravo Uniform in response to the growing veterans and military mental health crisis to provide hope and mental health solutions for those who are struggling.

WO1 CARL SHARPLES
BRAVO UNIFORM – MILITARY ADVISOR TRUSTEE
WO1 Carl Sharples joined the British Army in March 1997 into the Royal Logistics Corps as a Pioneer. He spent much of his early years at Regimental Duty in 23 Pioneer Regiment, Bicester and 170 Pioneer Squadron with Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, Germany during which time he completed 2 tours in the Balkans. Carl later transferred to the Adjutant’s General Corps, Staff and Personnel Support in 2003 where he was assigned to 7 Signal Regiment in 2003 and deployed to Iraq on Op TELIC on a loan post. During this tour he faced traumatic experiences which later resulted in him developing PTSD. He subsequently deployed later in 2012 & 2016 to Afghanistan on Op Herrick with 26 Engineer Regiment again another tough tour. Carl continues to serve in the British Army and has recently become the Health & Wellbeing Network Coordinator at his current assignment where he continues to demonstrate his tangible interest in helping others.
Carl is extremely compassionate and always goes above and beyond to help others, he has represented numerous charities in the past and has always demonstrated his abilities to a high degree. He has a real sense of purpose and is a great listener, with the experiences that he has suffered himself he has a real understanding of what others are going or have been through. He is an asset to the team. He is the Health & Wellbeing Network Coordinator in his current assignment where he has demonstrated his tangible interest in helping others
He is married to Anita and they have 3 wonderful boys, he currently resides in Aldershot, the home to the British Army.
Outside of work Warrant Officer Carl is a fitness fanatic, he runs his own Military Style Bootcamps, he also enjoys walking, Cinema and most of all spending time with his family.
